Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a court similar to a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
During the summer drop-in adult Pickleball is played outside at the tennis courts at GLMRD. Intermediate groups play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1pm – 3pm. **NOTE: Beginning July 24, Intermediate groups will move to play from 3pm – 5pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Advanced groups play Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm – 6pm and Saturday 11am – 2pm. Beginner lessons are offered (by appointment only) on Wednesdays from 11am – 1pm at the Grand Lake Center.
